Danu
has been attracting attention in both breed and obedience/agility circles. She is square, has
wonderful movement, a pretty expressive face,
attractive cinnamon color and a
loving, wonderful disposition. In limited showing in
Canada, she has taken two Best of Breed wins. Danu
experienced a significant "life event" in October 2006 when she was
released from my van on the way to a dog show in Ontario, Canada.
She was missing for over two months and apparently lived wild most
of that time. She was found in mid-November and we were reunited on
26 November 2006. She had been totally shaved and was suffering from
multiple medical problems.
Love, medical attention, and enrollment in
rally and agility training helped her to overcome her experience. In Feb.
2007, Danu began her show career in the U.S. Despite being short
coated from her "adventure in Ontario", she took Best of Opposite
Sex/Winners Bitch both days. To her delight, she won a fuzzy,
squeaky squirrel, her favorite toy!

March was a busy month as Danu passed her Canine Good Citizen (CGC)
title with flying colors in March! She was also entered
in 3 trials for Rally Novice in March and she earned 3 legs,
completing her American Rally Novice (RN) title.
Since then, Danu has gone on to earn two legs towards her Rally
Advanced title. Danu became the first
chow chow to achieve a Canadian Rally
Novice title and the Canadian Canine Good Neighbor
Title (CGN) in August.
Danu only needs one more major win to finish her American
championship since those first "training" shows. She
just completed her UKC
Championship in October 2007 including five Group placements
in the Northern Group. She is currently training at
the Intermediate Level in Agility,
so watch for this multi-talented young chow. And I
am planning a spring breeding for her with BIS
Luxembourg / Belgium / French / German VDH
Champion Chowderny
Xinling-Shi. Visit the Puppies page to
